​Using the Institute in Excellent Writing, our highly interactive approach teaches students to love the art of writing. Placing emphasis on what, when, and how to write, we take the intimidation out of words.

3rd thru 5th graders


​MORE THAN WORDS:

​Reading, spelling and writing can ​be challenging, especially if students ​haven't learned the tools needed to ​decode words. Our powerful literacy program gives students with word-level deficits the skills needed to  become fluent, self-reliant scholars.  This powerful action plan will prove the necessary skills to close the reading gap of struggling students, language based learning disabilities and/or dyslexia.

EMPHASIS:

​All students in grades 1 - 12th and adults

​EARLY BIRDS:

This group is especially designed with ​homeschoolers in mind. Our highly trained ​teachers introduce letters, sounds and words through multisensory activities, arts and crafts. Meeting once a week, this small group will learn the fundamentals skills of reading.

INITIAL INTERVENTION:

With our systematic, explicit and multisensory approach to reading and spelling, we can help struggling students before they fall behind.  Our tutoring approach is backed with scientific research when core reading, spelling and writing programs are just not enough.

EMPHASIS:

Kindergarten- 2nd grade


PREVENTION:

The Reading Center is dedicated to reducing the number of students who later need intervention by giving children a solid phonemic awareness, and letter recognition and pronunciation understanding.  Foundations in Sounds ensures vital skills in reading which will help to prevent a gap in future capabilities.
